Overview
Nagarkot is the one of the nearest hill stations from Kathmandu where you can take few relax days off, away from the busy city life. At 2175 m altitude, it also provides you some of the most beautiful view point to observe great sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayan range.
It is popular among the locals in and around Kathmandu valley and can also be easily incorporated with other tour and trekking packages. Most tourists, locals and foreigners alike, take the Nagarkot day tour as the final destination to relax catch up with friends, fellow trekkers, share photographs, stories and look back to the adventures they experienced.
Nagarkot is located in the east northern part of Kathmandu around 30 km distance. It is easily accessible. You can hire a cab/taxi or even take local transportation to reach there within 2 hours.
For some who prefer nature hiking distance, Nagarkot is again the best destination. You will walk up to 6-7 hours through pine trees, terraces and small typical villages. The roads are mostly graveled as you descend to Changunarayan temple. The temple, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage monument, is one of the most valuable portrait of history and culture of the valley that dates back to 4th century. As the final point of the tour you will visit the beautiful alleys of Bhaktapur. You will see the historic palaces, wonderful temples and vintage pottery squares that will make you feel as you have time-travelled to ancient age.

You will have to start the trip early in the morning and drive to Nagarkot for great sunrise view. After a good breakfast enjoying the great views of Himalayas, you will descend either by driving or hiking toy your latter destinations. After the trip is over you will be taken back to your respective hotels for final departure.

Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival At Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our staff will greet you and help you to transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Mountain Flight
After having breakfast, we will escort you to the airport for mountain flight. We can see the beautiful scenery of hills surrounding Kathmandu Valley. After the mountain flight, we will visit cultural and religious places. We will also visit the historical places; Kathmandu Dubar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Sightseeing
After breakfast, we will drive to Bhaktapur to visit historical Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Nayatapola temple. Spending some time exploring the monuments and sculptures around Bhaktapur, we will visit to Changunarayan and drive to Nagarkot to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Overnight stay at hotel in Nagarkot.
Day 04: Farewell
We will enjoy the sunrise view over the Himalayan range early in the morning. We can also see the mesmerizing panoramic view of mountain peaks. After breakfast, we will drive to Kathmandu and shop around. Our staff will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport as per your flight scheduled for your next destination.
