Lhasa offers the best for those people having desire to experience Tibetan Buddhist practices. The tour to Lhasa will take you to a deep exploration into the exotic Tibet. Tibet is rich in cultural heritage, endless landscapes. You can observe the spectacular landscapes of canyon, snow-capped mountains and lush forests.

Tibet is divided in to several areas which act as sanctuaries to preserve and promote the Tibetan folk custom and keep in check that modern civilization effects are minimized. Many sites consist of large monasteries, Buddhist schools with numerous monks and students. There are several chant flags fastened to buildings, houses and monasteries. You will also tour the major monuments, including the legendary Golden roof Potala palace with several rooms. You will also walk in the pilgrim trains, hike and visit villages. You will get to interact with locals, nomads and monks. You will experience a different world.

This 7 days tour around Nepal and Tibet starts once you reach the international airport at Kathmandu. You will be spending couple of days around Kathmandu to experience the life style, culture and diversity of the area. Next you will take a 2 hour flight to Tibet. In Lhasa you will visit places of interest such as Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street and many more.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our staff and transfer you to hotel.  Overnight stay at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing

After having breakfast, we will visit some historical and cultural places such as Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Durbar Squares, and others. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Fly to Lhasa

We will fly to Lhasa in the morning. Once we arrive at Lhasa, our tour guide will receive us and transfer to the hotel. It is better to stay and take rest at hotel to acclimatize the high altitude. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4: Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street.

After having breakfast, we will visit Potala Palace, a golden feather upon the roof of the world. After spending some time exploring the magnificent building rooms, we will visit Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. Overnight stay at Lhasa.

Day 5: Visit Drepung and Sera Monastery

We will start our tour in the morning to visit Drepung Monastery, the largest monastery. It is also called the Monastery of Collecting Rice. After exploring Drepung Monastery, we will hike to beautiful valley scenery descending to Sera Monastery. It is also called “the court of wild rose”. Overnight stay at Lhasa.

Day 5: Lhasa - Yamdrok Lake - Gyantse – Shigatse

We will have a short hike from Lhasa to Lake Yamdrok, enjoying the beautiful landscape of Tibet.  As we walk further, we will pass Karo La and Simi La descending to Gyantse. We will visit Pelkor Monastery and Kumbum Stupa. We will drive to Shigatse in the afternoon and visit Tashilunpo Monastery. Overnight at Shigatse.

Day 6: Shigatse to Lhasa

After having breakfast, we will drive back to Lhasa from Shigatse and fly back to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 7: Departure

Our staff will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport as per your flight schedule for your next destination.
