Overview

Annapurna Circuit trekking is the most popular trekking destination which yields the most classic and rewarding taking the trekkers to as high as 5400 m above the sea level/ altitude.

The trek is a perfect blend of adventure, knowledge, and thrill and takes you close to nature, culture and traditional values. Traveling through thick forests of oaks, rhododendrons, and fir, terraced fields, pastors, interacting with the people in the villages of Gurungs, Magars, you will experience a different world that reflects humility, peace and brotherhood. And all the while you can always enjoy the spectacular views of the majestic mountains and picturesque landscapes.

This circuit was once used as the pilgrim and trading trails, passing through southern slopes of Manaslu and Annapurna ranges. It goes through barren and dry landscapes Thorang-la Pass between the two valleys of Manang and the deepest gorge of the world, Kaligandaki River gorge then descending from Muktinath – the sacred shrine for Buddhists and Hindus alike. Further down, you will enter green lands covered with lush forests, banana groves, barley and wheat fields etc. and finally reach Pokhara.

There are various routes that you can mix with – for the short circuit trek you skip the Annapurna Sanctuary and Base camp trek or add 5 more days before going back to Pokhara and travel those two areas as you may not get another chance to return and complete the journey. Most of the trekkers extend their stays and leave no stone unturned. Observing Annapurna massive and Mt. Machhapuchhre up close is an opportunity of the life that you would like to lose.
